In 2026, the event will be inspired by the Moiré effect, a visual phenomenon where overlapping patterns create a third, shifting image. We see this as a metaphor for Calgary itself: a city in motion, where art, culture, and community intersect to form new, collective patterns. Through sound, installation, and interactive performance, Moiré Room will invite Calgarians to experience their city as a living artwork.
